Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday), with most major currencies witnessing an increase in value.

The US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar have strengthened, while some currencies, including the Australian dollar, have slightly declined, according to the central bank.

For the past few days, the exchange rates of most foreign currencies had been on a declining trend.

However, today’s rates indicate a slight rise in the values of key currencies that had been depreciating. The buying rate of 1 US dollar stands at Rs 136.96, while the selling rate is Rs 137.56, compared to Rs 136.84 and Rs 137.44 yesterday.

Similarly, the European euro is being traded at Rs 147.70 for buying and Rs 148.35 for selling, showing a slight increase from Rs 147.68 and Rs 148.33 yesterday.

The British pound sterling has also strengthened, with its buying rate at Rs 177.18 and selling rate at Rs 177.95, up from Rs 176.59 and Rs 177.37 yesterday.

On the other hand, the Australian dollar has seen a slight decline, with its buying rate now at Rs 86.46 and selling rate at Rs 86.83, compared to Rs 86.56 and Rs 86.94 yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar has appreciated, with its buying rate at Rs 444.06 and selling rate at Rs 446.00, rising from Rs 443.74 and Rs 445.68 yesterday.

Likewise, the Bahraini dinar has also gained value, with the buying rate reaching Rs 363.27 and the selling rate standing at Rs 364.86, up from Rs 362.95 and Rs 364.54 yesterday.

The exchange rates continue to fluctuate, reflecting shifts in global market trends and economic conditions.
