Snowfall obstructs Rukum East section of Mid-Hill Highway

RUKUM EAST: The Lukum-Patihalna road section of the Mid-Hill Highway has been blocked due to heavy snowfall in the Himalayan district of Rukum East.

The snowfall, which occurred last night, has caused thick snow to accumulate, blocking the road that connects the border areas of Rukum East and Baglung. As a result, long-distance travel has been disrupted.

Ram Autar Chaudhary, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office in Rukum East, reported that vehicle movement has been severely affected due to the snowfall.

Chaudhary added that while some vehicles attempted to continue their journey this morning, they have since been halted due to the accumulating snow.

This section of the road is regularly blocked by snow each year, causing recurring issues for both vehicles and passengers.
