KATHMANDU: Additional Secretary (North) of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, Munu Mahawar, paid a courtesy visit to Nepal’s Home Minister, Ramesh Lekhak, at his office.

During the meeting, they discussed several issues of mutual interest and concern, according to the Home Minister’s private secretariat.

Key topics included enhancing Nepal-India border relations, strengthening cooperation to curb criminal activities in border areas, and improving coordination between the border security forces of both nations.

Additionally, the discussion highlighted the progress on constructing an integrated customs check post at Dodhara Chandni in Kanchanpur, a vital initiative aimed at improving cross-border trade and security.

The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to bolster bilateral ties and address shared challenges along the Nepal-India border.
