One killed in road accident in Surkhet



SURKHET: One person died after being run over by a vehicle at Tempo Park in Birendranagar Municipality–1, Surkhet, on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Janga Bahadur Budha of Dangeshwor Rural Municipality–5 in Dailekh district.

According to police, Budha was seriously injured after a vehicle ran over him while he was reportedly drunk and asleep on the road. He was rushed to the provincial hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.

Deepak Magarathi, Information Officer and Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Surkhet, said police have launched a search operation to trace the vehicle and its driver involved in the incident.
