One killed in jeep-auto collision in Dadeldhura



DADELDHURA: One person has died in a collision between a jeep and an auto in Rampur, Dadeldhura district. The accident occurred around 8:30 pm last night in Jaltuda of Alital Rural Municipality-4, when a jeep and an auto coming from opposite directions collided.

One person was injured. The deceased has been identified as Ram Bahadur Baral Magar, 26, of Jojla, Parshuram Municipality-10. Sabita Thapa Magar, 21, of Panchadeval Municipality-3, Achham, sustained serious injuries and was referred from Jogbuda Hospital to Dhangadhi for further treatment, according to Barun Bahadur Singh, Chief of the District Police Office, Dadeldhura.

There were three people in the auto, including the driver, Gopal Magar, who is currently absconding. Police have taken the jeep driver into custody, and all three occupants of the jeep are reported to be safe. The Area Police Office, Jogbuda, confirmed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
