Kathmandu records slight drop in minimum temperature today

KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley declined slightly in the initial measurement taken on Saturday compared to Friday.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the valley recorded a minimum temperature of 5.2 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am today. At the same time on Friday, the minimum temperature stood at 5.4 degrees Celsius, although it later dropped to 5.0 degrees Celsius when the official measurement was taken at 8:45 am.

Meteorologists say the official minimum temperature for Saturday will again be recorded at 8:45 am, and there is a possibility that the temperature could fall further as the morning progresses.

The Division records daily minimum and maximum temperatures across the country, including Kathmandu. The minimum temperature is measured at 8:45 am, while the maximum temperature is recorded at 5:45 pm. A lower minimum temperature indicates colder morning conditions in the Valley.
