One killed in car–scooter collision in Kantipath



KATHMANDU: A scooter rider has died following a collision with a car on Kantipath in Kathmandu.

The victim, Santosh Khadka, 34, of Likhu Rural Municipality–9 in Okhaldhunga, was critically injured when a car (registration number BAB 5724) struck his scooter (registration number Ba 82 Pa 2088) along the road in Kathmandu Metropolitan City–27.

According to Police Headquarters, Khadka, who sustained severe injuries in the accident late last night, died early this morning while receiving treatment at KMC Hospital.

Police have taken the car driver into custody and launched further investigations into the incident.
