Health Minister Sharma assures proper treatment for Gen-Z protest injured



KATHMANDU: Health and Population Minister Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam has confirmed that those injured during the recent Gen-Z protests are receiving proper medical care.

Minister Sharma, appointed Education Minister on Sunday, visited Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on Monday to review the condition of the injured. She reported that three individuals wounded during the protests are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

According to Sharma, two patients are showing improvement, while one with a fractured bone is receiving treatment through plastic surgery. She expressed concern over the injuries, saying, “Seeing such scenes moved me deeply. I hope the sacrifices of this movement are not in vain.”

The minister also assured that her office would provide all possible support to the hospital staff to ensure timely and effective treatment for the injured.
