Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 140.26, while the selling rate is Rs 140.86.

Similarly, one euro is valued at Rs 163.07 for buying and Rs 163.76 for selling, and one UK pound sterling at Rs 186.73 and Rs 187.53 respectively. The buying and selling rates for one Swiss franc stand at Rs 176.27 and Rs 177.03.

Among other major currencies, the buying and selling rates for one Australian dollar are Rs 91.36 and Rs 91.75, for one Canadian dollar are Rs 100.21 and Rs 100.64, and for one Singapore dollar are Rs 108.00 and Rs 108.47 respectively.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.18 and the selling rate Rs 9.21. One Chinese yuan is traded at Rs 19.70 (buying) and Rs 19.78 (selling). Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs 37.40 and Rs 37.56, while one Qatari riyal stands at Rs 38.48 and Rs 38.64.

The Thai baht is trading at Rs 4.29 (buying) and Rs 4.31 (selling), and the UAE dirham at Rs 38.19 and Rs 38.35. The Malaysian ringgit is fixed at Rs 33.21 and Rs 33.36, while 100 South Korean won are valued at Rs 9.75 (buying) and Rs 9.79 (selling).

Similarly, one Swedish krona is trading at Rs 14.92 (buying) and Rs 14.98 (selling), and one Danish krone at Rs 21.83 and Rs 21.93.

The central bank has also set the buying and selling rates for other currencies as follows: Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.05 and Rs 18.13, Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 457.50 and Rs 459.46, Bahraini dinar at Rs 372.04 and Rs 373.63, and Omani rial at Rs 364.30 and Rs 365.86.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

NRB has noted that these rates are subject to revision as needed, and commercial banks may quote slightly different rates. Updated figures are available on the central bank’s official website.
