Monsoon winds weaken; moderate rainfall likely today

KATHMANDU: Monsoon activity remains weak across the country, with only a partial influence of local winds, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

This afternoon, skies are expected to be generally cloudy over the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.

The Division has reported that moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. A few other areas across the country may also see light to moderate showers.

For tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi Province and other parts of the country, while mainly clear skies are expected elsewhere.

However, there is still a chance of moderate rainfall in a few locations within the hilly areas of Koshi Province and other regions, the Division added.
