Nepal Tech Market launches smart waste management system

KATHMANDU: Nepal Tech Market has unveiled a new waste management system that aims to bring a technological breakthrough in how garbage is collected and managed across the country.

According to Chief Technology Officer Mangal Pradhan, the system incorporates the latest global trends and innovations to make it user-friendly while ensuring efficiency in waste collection and disposal.

Chief Business Officer Sushmita Paudel said the platform has already received positive feedback from early users. The system is designed to serve households, municipalities, and institutions such as hospitals, hotels, schools, and government offices that generate waste.

The new application allows users to make online payments for waste management services. It also provides municipalities with a dedicated dashboard to monitor ongoing activities in their wards, helping local governments track and manage waste more effectively.

Chiranjibi Adhikari, CEO of Nepal Tech Market, said the system leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
