NEPSE index drops by 18.44 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) ended the day (Sunday) with a decline of 18.44 points (0.61%), closing at 2,964.20. This comes after a modest gain of 3.76 points in the previous trading session.

The index had opened at 2,984.92 and climbed to an intraday high of 3,013.17, before falling to a low of 2,958.34.

During the trading session, a total of 58,653,762 shares were exchanged through 203,658 transactions involving 323 companies.

The total turnover stood at Rs. 26.57 billion. Meanwhile, the total market capitalization was Rs. 4.94 trillion, and the float market capitalization amounted to Rs. 1.68 trillion.
