Deuba downplays rift with UML, calls disagreements ‘natural’



CHITWAN: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that disagreements between the ruling Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML are natural.

Speaking to media persons at Bharatpur Airport in Chitwan on Friday, Deuba stated that since the Nepali Congress and UML are different parties, occasional disagreements are to be expected.

“Since Nepali Congress and UML are different parties, there are sometimes disagreements — that’s natural. It’s normal, isn’t it?” he remarked.

Deuba added that despite differences on certain issues, the government is functioning based on mutual understanding. He also noted that it is normal for parties to have varying interpretations of the government’s decisions.
