Former King Gyanendra Shah to celebrate 79th birthday with public ceremony at Nirmal Niwas



KATHMANDU: Former King Gyanendra Shah will mark his 79th birthday with a special ceremony at Nirmal Niwas on July 7.

His press secretary Dr. Phani Raj Pathak confirmed that the event will include a greeting and well-wishing session, during which Shah will meet with the public and receive birthday wishes.

According to Pathak, the time has been set from 11 AM to 2 PM for well-wishers who want to extend their greetings to the former monarch.

Pathak added that the event is being organized “in response to public sentiment.”
