Rampur Cooperative hands over revolving fund to local school



RAMPUR: Rampur Savings and Loan Cooperative Society has established a revolving fund at Janabikas Secondary School in Rajaghara, Rampur Municipality-3, as part of its commitment to community development.

The cooperative handed over a cheque of Rs. 50,000 to the school to support the educational advancement of its students.

The fund was presented by Guru Prasad Regmi, Chairman of Rampur SACCOS, to Umanath Aryal, Chairman of the School Management Committee.

“This initiative is part of our social responsibility,” said Regmi. “We aim to contribute not only financially but also by promoting long-term educational improvement in the community.”

Rampur SACCOS, formed by the merger of Chandrajyoti Savings and Loan Cooperative and Rampur Savings and Loan Cooperative, now operates with a fully equipped physical infrastructure and has grown significantly in both outreach and capacity.

Chairman Aryal expressed gratitude and stated that the revolving fund will be used for various educational purposes to benefit the students. He emphasized its importance in supporting underprivileged learners and sustaining school programs.

Govinda Pathak, Manager of the cooperative, shared that they plan to establish similar funds in at least one school each year, based on the needs of local community schools.

Currently, Rampur SACCOS has 4,489 shareholder members and has been contributing to social welfare through its Social Community Development Fund.

With this latest contribution, the total revolving fund established at Janabikas Secondary School has reached Rs. 2.10 lakh.
