Nepal Rastra Bank announces today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for today (Friday). The value of several foreign currencies, including the Australian dollar, euro, and British pound, has increased.

In contrast, the US dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar have become slightly cheaper.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar today is Rs. 136.84, while the selling rate is Rs. 137.44. Yesterday, the buying rate stood at Rs. 137.43 and the selling rate at Rs. 138.03.

Today, the euro is trading at a buying rate of Rs. 160.14 and a selling rate of Rs. 160.84. This marks an increase from yesterday’s rates of Rs. 159.49 for buying and Rs. 160.18 for selling.

Similarly, the British pound has risen, with a buying rate of Rs. 187.61 and a selling rate of Rs. 188.44 today, compared to a flat rate of Rs. 187.00 for both buying and selling yesterday.

The Australian dollar is also slightly stronger, trading at Rs. 89.41 (buying) and Rs. 89.80 (selling) today.

Yesterday’s rates were Rs. 89.27 and Rs. 89.00, respectively. Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar has declined, with a buying rate of Rs. 447.67 and a selling rate of Rs. 449.64, down from yesterday’s Rs. 449.34 (buying) and Rs. 451.30 (selling).

The Bahraini dinar has also dropped, with today’s buying rate at Rs. 362.75 and selling rate at Rs. 364.34, compared to yesterday’s Rs. 364.00 (buying) and Rs. 365.98 (selling).

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision as needed.

It also clarified that the rates set by commercial banks may vary slightly, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
