RPP parliamentary meeting today to discuss nationwide protest and visit visa scandal



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is holding a crucial meeting of its parliamentary party today at 10:30 am at the party’s parliamentary office in Singha Durbar.

Chief Whip Gyanendra Shahi informed that the meeting will focus on recent political developments in the country, preparations for the nationwide protest movement starting on May 29, and the controversy surrounding the visit visa scandal allegedly linked to Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.

A key agenda of the meeting will be to discuss the party’s strategy and stance in Parliament regarding the involvement of the Home Minister in the visa scandal, Shahi added.

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at 11:00 am today, where opposition parties are reportedly preparing to demand the resignation of the Home Minister.
