KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing the partial effects of the western low-pressure system, accompanied by westerly winds.

As of Thursday morning, the weather in the hilly areas is partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country is mostly clear.

The Weather Forecasting Division reports that fog and mist are present in some areas of the Terai.

The Division also forecasts light rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, as well as in a few places in other hilly regions of the country.

Light snowfall is also expected in a few areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions, including parts of Far West and Karnali provinces.

The Division has also advised that the effects of snow, rain, and lightning could partially disrupt daily life, including health, agriculture, and road and air transport.

People are urged to take necessary precautions to minimize any potential impacts.
