Baidyanath Paswan appointed executive director of Greater Janakpur Area Development Council



JANAKPURDHAM: Baidyanath Paswan has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Greater Janakpur Area Development Council for a four-year term.

The council announced that Paswan was selected through an open competition to fill the position, which had remained vacant for the past two years.

Council Chairperson Sheetal Sah stated that the appointment was made in accordance with Section 17 (1) of the Council Act.

Paswan, a resident of Sanukhara, Mahottari Rural Municipality-1, Mahottari District, will lead efforts to protect and promote the religious and cultural heritage of Janakpurdham, Mahottari, and the Mithila Madhyamiki Parikrama areas.

The council was originally established under the leadership of Mahendra Narayan Nidhi with the aim of preserving the region’s rich heritage.
