Chief Secretary Aryal vows to up dignity of civil service



KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed Chief Secretary of the government, Suman Raj Aryal, has pledged to remain committed to establish the civil service as a pillar for good-governance, effective public service delivery, development works and overall transformation, while uplifting its dignity.

Assuming his office today, the Chief Secretary said his utmost goal was to maintain the national pride and dignity, and to promote satisfaction of the citizens.

Aryal has termed the post as a responsibility in the challenging time and vowed to remain committed selfless for the broader interests of the nation and the people with complete sense of responsibility.

Chief Secretary Aryal also added that his entire power, strengthen, knowledge and experience would be for making the public service prompt and citizen-friendly and making the administrative mechanisms development-friendly and result-oriented.

A cabinet meeting of the ministers of council on Monday appointed Secretary Aryal to the post of the Chief Secretary.
