Nepal to face Indonesia today in friendly ahead of SAFF Women’s Championship

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s women’s national football team will take on Indonesia this evening as part of its preparation for the upcoming SAFF Women’s Championship. The international friendly match will be played at Indonesia’s Maguwoharjo Stadium, with kickoff set for 6:15 PM Nepal time.

The two sides last met in 2019, when Nepal defeated Indonesia 2–1. Nepal, however, will be without its star striker Sabitra Bhandari, who is out with a knee injury. In her absence, Anjila Tumbapo Subba will lead the team.

The friendly is expected to give Nepal’s new squad combination valuable match exposure as the team builds momentum for the regional tournament.
