KATHMANDU: The cold continues to intensify across the country, including Kathmandu Valley.
In recent days, the Valley’s minimum temperature has been declining steadily. According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley was recorded at 6.4°C at 5:45 a.m. today (Wednesday), compared to 7°C yesterday.
However, the official minimum temperature is measured again at 8:45 a.m. There is a possibility that the minimum temperature may drop further by then, though it could also remain the same.
The Division measures the daily minimum and maximum temperatures for various locations across the country, including Kathmandu. The lowest temperature recorded in a 24-hour period is considered the minimum temperature, while the highest is recorded as the maximum.
According to meteorologists, the minimum temperature is officially measured at 8:45 a.m., and the maximum temperature at 5:45 p.m.
