Education Minister issues directive to CTEVT



KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun has directed the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) to immediately implement a four-point set of reforms aimed at improving technical and vocational education.

Pun, who also chairs the council, instructed CTEVT to revise existing curricula by incorporating innovation and to submit a draft framework by October 17. He also ordered the creation of a unified academic calendar and mandated that examination results must be published within three months.

In addition, the council has been directed to establish a dedicated grievance-handling unit at its office to register and address complaints from students, parents, and teachers without delay.

The minister further instructed the council to review all applications for affiliation submitted since 2012 and to present a report by the end of Ashoj, along with prompt decisions on whether to grant or deny affiliation.
