Biratnagar Metropolitan City establishes technical education promotion centre



BIRATNAGAR: Biratnagar Metropolitan City has established a technical and vocational education and training promotion centre.

The centre is being set up in collaboration with Sagarmatha I-Lab Group (Koshi Province), Kathmandu University’s School of Education, and ETH Zurich of Switzerland.

According to Mayor Nagesh Koirala, the promotion centre will play a key role in producing the skilled technical workforce needed at the local and provincial levels.

He also expressed hope that the centre will help create employment opportunities and foster self-entrepreneurship among youths.

The initiative aims to connect young people to industry and markets through skill enhancement programs.
