Moderate rainfall likely in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces

KATHMANDU: Weather conditions across the country remain influenced by the monsoon system, with varying levels of cloud cover and rainfall expected in different regions.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports that the monsoon low-pressure trough is currently located south of the average position in the east and near the average in the west.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy over the hilly areas and partly cloudy across the rest of the country. Moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly regions, especially in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, while one or two locations in the Terai may also experience rain.

Tonight, hilly areas will remain generally cloudy, with partly cloudy skies elsewhere. There is a chance of moderate rainfall in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with light showers in isolated areas of other provinces.
