Cyclist killed in bus accident in Damak



JHAPA: A 60-year-old cyclist was killed in a road accident in Damak-4, Jhapa, on Saturday morning.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, the incident occurred when a passenger bus (Province 1-01-001 Kha 4363), traveling from Urlabari to Damak, struck a cyclist heading toward Tarabari. The victim, identified as Som Bahadur Bik of Gharghare, Damak-4, sustained serious injuries and died while undergoing treatment at Damak Hospital.

The bus and its driver, 47-year-old Rajendra Gautam of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-7, Makwanpur, are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
