Federal Democratic Front meeting underway to discuss by-election



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Federal Democratic Front, a coalition of Madhesh-based political parties, is currently underway in Kathmandu.

The alliance is convening to discuss the upcoming by-election in Rupandehi-3, finalize internal procedures, and deliberate on the release of political prisoners.

According to alliance leader Keshav Jha, the meeting will also focus on completing the alliance’s operational guidelines and formulating its future programs and political agenda.

The meeting is being chaired by Rastriya Unmukti Party patron Resham Lal Chaudhary, and is attended by top leaders from all member parties.

From the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), party chair Upendra Yadav, Rajkishor Yadav, Manish Suman, and Ram Kumar Sharma are participating. The Rastriya Unmukti Party is represented by patron Chaudhary, Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Arun Chaudhary, and lawmaker Lalbir Chaudhary.

From the Rastriya Mukti Party, attendees include chair Rajendra Mahato, Keshav Jha, and CN Tharu.

The Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) is represented by chair Mahantha Thakur, Sarvendra Nath Shukla, Laxman Lal Karna, and Gyanendra Jha. Abdul Khan is present from the Janamat Party, while the Janata Pragatisheel Party is represented by chair Hridayesh Tripathi, Shivaji Yadav, and Sabir Hussein.

From the Tarai Madhesh Loktantrik Party, chair Brishesh Chandra Lal and Brajkishor Singh are attending.
