Partly cloudy skies across hilly regions, light rain and snowfall likely



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that Nepal is currently under the influence of westerly and local winds, with partial moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea also affecting weather conditions.

According to the division, light rain is currently occurring in isolated areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

For today, weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy over hilly regions, especially in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati Provinces, while the rest of the country will experience mainly fair to partly cloudy skies.

There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall at a few locations in high hill and mountainous areas, particularly during the afternoon hours.

Today’s sunrise was at 5:10 am, and sunset is expected at 6:52 pm.

The division advises travelers and residents in mountainous regions to stay alert to changing weather conditions and potential snowfall.
