NC holding office bearers meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its office-bearers today.

According to Deputy General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar, the meeting is scheduled for 9 AM at the residence of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha.

The agenda includes discussions on recent political developments and preparations for the upcoming parliamentary session beginning Tuesday.

One of the key issues expected to be discussed is the controversy involving Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.

The recent arrest of Joint Secretary Tirtha Raj Bhattarai in connection with a visit visa scam has put the spotlight on the Home Minister’s secretariat, with mounting calls for his resignation. The matter is likely to feature prominently in today’s meeting.
