KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana has reaffirmed Nepal’s firm stance against terrorism, declaring that the country strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Speaking at a memorial event organized by the Indian Embassy in Nepal on Saturday to honor the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India, Minister Rana emphasized Nepal’s unwavering commitment to peace and security.

“Nepal strongly condemns all forms and manifestations of terrorism,” she said. “We stand firmly against terrorist activities—wherever, whenever, and for whatever purpose they occur.”

The Foreign Minister stressed that double standards must not be applied in the global fight against terrorism, asserting that consistency is vital in addressing such threats.

She expressed Nepal’s solidarity with India, highlighting the nations’ long-standing relationship rooted not just in diplomacy, but in centuries of shared history, culture, and cooperation.

“Our open borders reflect mutual trust, and our family ties further strengthen our bond,” Minister Rana said.

“We have always stood together in moments of joy and hardship. India was the first to extend a helping hand following the devastating earthquake in Nepal.”

Dr. Rana also expressed gratitude to the Government of India for facilitating the return of the body of Sudip Neupane, a Nepali victim of the Pahalgam attack, along with support for others affected.

Concluding her remarks, she paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
