KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has updated the exchange rates for foreign currencies today (Wednesday), with significant increases observed in the rates for the US dollar, European euro, and British pound when compared to yesterday (Tuesday).

As per the latest rates, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is set at 139 rupees 24 paisa, and the selling rate at 139 rupees 84 paisa.

This is an increase from yesterday’s rates, where the buying rate was 138 rupees 42 paisa, and the selling rate was 139 rupees 02 paisa.

The exchange rate for the euro also saw an upward shift, with 1 euro priced at 145 rupees 89 paisa for buying and 146 rupees 52 paisa for selling. This marks an increase from the previous day’s rates, which were 144 rupees 92 paisa for buying and 145 rupees 55 paisa for selling.

Similarly, the British pound has also increased, with 1 pound now valued at 175 rupees 87 paisa for buying and 176 rupees 63 paisa for selling. Yesterday, the buying rate was 174 rupees 98 paisa, and the selling rate was 175 rupees 74 paisa.

In addition, the rates for other foreign currencies have been revised. The Australian dollar is now set at a buying rate of 88 rupees 19 paisa and a selling rate of 88 rupees 57 paisa.

For the Canadian dollar, the buying rate is 97 rupees 63 paisa and the selling rate is 98 rupees 05 paisa. The Singapore dollar is priced at 103 rupees 96 paisa for buying and 104 rupees 41 paisa for selling.

The Swiss franc now stands at a buying rate of 155 rupees 45 paisa and a selling rate of 156 rupees 11 paisa.

The Japanese yen has a buying rate of 9 rupees 29 paisa for 10 yen, and a selling rate of 9 rupees 33 paisa.

The Chinese yuan is set at a buying rate of 19 rupees 17 paisa and a selling rate of 19 rupees 25 paisa.

The Saudi Riyal has a buying rate of 37 rupees 13 paisa and a selling rate of 37 rupees 29 paisa, while the Qatari Riyal is set at a buying rate of 38 rupees 20 paisa and a selling rate of 38 rupees 36 paisa.

Similarly, the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees is fixed at 160 rupees, with a selling rate of 160 rupees 15 paisa.
