Over 16,300 students conferred at TU’s 51st Convocation



KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University (TU) today held its 51st convocation, conferring degrees on over 16,300 students. The ceremony was graced by Prime Minister and TU Chancellor Sushila Karki, alongside other prominent figures from the academic community.

In total, 89,101 students have graduated across undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil, and PhD programs.

The event, held at Dasharath Rangashala, marked a historic occasion as Japanese Nobel laureate Professor Takaaki Kajita attended as the chief guest for the first time in TU’s history.

TU Vice-Chancellor Professor Deepak Aryal congratulated the graduates, noting the university’s steady progress along the path of academic excellence. Education, Science and Technology Minister Mahabir Pun and other scholars were also present at the ceremony.
