UML submits application for party registration ahead of House of Representatives election



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has submitted an application for party registration to participate in the upcoming House of Representatives election.

A team of UML leaders, including Chief of the party’s Central Election Department Niraj Acharya, visited the Election Commission to file the registration.

Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that so far, 67 registered political parties have applied for party registration to contest the general election scheduled for March 5, 2026.

Earlier, UML had also submitted its registration to contest the National Assembly election scheduled for January 25.
