205,168 new voters added in Makwanpur



MAKWANPUR: A total of 205,168 new voters have been added across 13 districts of Bagmati Province for the upcoming elections scheduled for March 5, 2026, bringing the total number of registered voters to 3,618,037.

In the previous provincial and federal elections held in December 2022 (2079 BS), the province had 3,422,869 registered voters.

According to the Bagmati Province Election Office in Hetauda, Makawanpur District alone had 302,244 voters in the 2079 BS elections. For the upcoming polls, an additional 7,633 voters were added through national identity card data, while 6,970 registered directly with the Provincial Election Office.
