Toddler dies of snakebite in Jhapa



DAMAK: A five-year-old boy died after being bitten by a snake in Shivasatakshi Municipality-7, Jhapa, on Friday evening.

The deceased has been identified as the son of Man Kumar Tamang. According to police, the child was bitten by a snake while playing near his home.

He fell unconscious shortly after the bite and was rushed to Birta City Hospital in Birtamod. He was later referred to the Nepali Army’s Snakebite Treatment Centre in Charaali. However, he succumbed to the bite on the way, police said.
