Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the exchange rates of foreign currencies for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 140.26 and the selling rate at Rs 140.86.

Similarly, the buying rate for one Euro is Rs 162.83 and the selling rate Rs 163.53, while one Pound Sterling is being bought at Rs 186.70 and sold at Rs 187.50. The Swiss Franc stands at Rs 176.03 for buying and Rs 176.78 for selling.

Likewise, the buying and selling rates for other major currencies are as follows: the Australian Dollar at Rs 91.12 and Rs 91.51, the Canadian Dollar at Rs 99.98 and Rs 100.41, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 107.90 and Rs 108.36 respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is Rs 9.17 and the selling rate Rs 9.21, while the Chinese Yuan is valued at Rs 19.69 for buying and Rs 19.78 for selling.

According to NRB, the Saudi Riyal is being bought at Rs 37.40 and sold at Rs 37.56, the Qatari Riyal at Rs 38.48 and Rs 38.65, the Thai Baht at Rs 4.28 and Rs 4.30, the UAE Dirham at Rs 38.19 and Rs 38.35, and the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs 33.21 and Rs 33.36.

Similarly, the rate for 100 South Korean Won stands at Rs 9.74 for buying and Rs 9.79 for selling, the Swedish Kronor at Rs 14.93 and Rs 15.00, and the Danish Kroner at Rs 21.80 and Rs 21.89 respectively.

The central bank has also set the rate for one Hong Kong Dollar at Rs 18.05 (buying) and Rs 18.13 (selling), the Kuwaiti Dinar at Rs 457.33 and Rs 459.29, the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 372.07 and Rs 373.66, and the Omani Rial at Rs 364.30 and Rs 365.86.

Likewise, the rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. The NRB stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision as needed, and that commercial banks may post slightly different rates. The updated exchange rates can be viewed on the central bank’s official website.
