Highway blockages send Dashain travelers to airport

KATHMANDU: Following the blockage of the Muglin–Narayangadh road, passenger traffic at Tribhuvan International Airport’s domestic terminal has surged as travelers opt for flights amid unsafe road conditions.

The rising demand for air travel has prompted airlines to increase ticket fares, adding to the financial burden on passengers.

In addition to the Muglin– Narayangadh stretch, other major highways are also facing disruptions. With roads remaining difficult to navigate during the Dashain festival period, commuters are experiencing widespread inconvenience.
