Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi and Bagmati



KATHMANDU: Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly areas and partly cloudy elsewhere across the country. Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in some parts of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces; in a few areas of the hilly regions of Lumbini and Karnali Provinces; and at one or two locations in other parts of the country.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy over the hills and mostly clear in other areas. Moderate rain is likely at a few locations in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, and at one or two places in the remaining hilly areas.

At present, the influence of the monsoon has weakened nationwide, with only partial effects from local winds.
