Vietnamese Vice President visits Patan and Boudhanath area



KATHMANDU: Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, who is currently on an official visit to Nepal, today visited the Patan Durbar Square and Boudhanath area, which are World Heritage sites.

In Patan, the Vice President was welcomed by government officials including Lalitpur Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan. On the occasion, she inspected various heritage sites, handicrafts, and sculptures.

Earlier, Vice President Vo also visited the Boudhanath area, a sacred place for Buddhists. She was welcomed by Boudhanath Area Development Committee Chair Rajkumar Lama and Executive Director Mohan Kumar Tamang.

Vice President Vo arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday on a three-day official visit to Nepal. She is scheduled to depart Kathmandu tonight after completing her visit.
