Downpour expected in Karnali and Sudurpaschim



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has warned of possible heavy rainfall in parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon, with a chance of windstorms in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim.

Widespread cloud cover is expected across the country throughout the day and night.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy nationwide. Moderate rain is likely in many parts of the hilly and Terai regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in some areas of the hilly and Terai regions of the remaining provinces. A few places in the Terai may also receive rainfall.

Meanwhile, heavy rain is likely at one or two locations in the hills and Terai regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, there is a possibility of windstorms in parts of the Terai in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the conditions will remain generally cloudy across the country. Moderate rain is expected at some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with a few areas in the hills and Terai of the remaining provinces also likely to see rain.

Light to moderate showers are also possible in parts of the Terai in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
