Motorcyclist dies after being hit by Bolero jeep



CHITWAN: A motorcyclist died after being hit by a Bolero vehicle carrying vegetables at Shanti Chowk, Ratnanagar Municipality-3, along the East-West Highway.

The victim has been identified as Mukunda Kandel, 35, of Kalika Municipality-2. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal of the Chitwan District Police Office, the accident occurred around 12:30 am when a Bolero (Province 2-02-001 Cha 0510), en route from Khairhani to Tandi, struck a motorcycle (Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 3365) heading from Janakpur to Kathmandu.

Kandel, who was critically injured in the collision, was rushed to Bharatpur Hospital, where he died during treatment at 1:19 am.

Police have taken the Bolero and its driver into custody for further investigation.
