Unified Socialist calls secretariat meeting for June 27

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has called a Secretariat meeting for June 27 to discuss a wide range of internal and national political issues.

The meeting will be held at the party’s central office in Aloknagar.

According to Damodar Aryal, deputy chief of the party’s central publicity department, the meeting will focus on the party’s official stance on the newly announced national budget for the upcoming fiscal year, as well as on political training for leaders and cadres, and the party’s role in the ongoing parliamentary session.

In addition, the party will discuss implementation strategies for decisions made by its central committee, including finalizing departmental leadership based on feedback from provincial, district, and other affiliated committees. Leadership reshuffles and internal conflict resolution will also be on the agenda.

One of the key discussion points will be the defense strategy regarding a corruption case filed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) at the Special Court against party chair Madhav Kumar Nepal in a controversial land swap involving Patanjali.

Aryal said the meeting will also review recent political developments and evaluate the party’s nationwide political campaign, with plans to launch a new phase of organizational programs following the assessment.
