Timely rainfall brings farmers to paddy fields



KATHMANDU: With the onset of monsoon rains in the first week of Asar, farmers in Sindhuli have begun paddy plantation in full swing.

In Jaymangal, located in Marin Rural Municipality, farmers are busy in the fields, making the most of the timely rainfall.

Despite being close to the Madan Bhandari Highway, farmers in the area continue to rely on traditional methods of cultivation. Oxen are still commonly used for plowing and planting, a practice that remains deeply rooted in the local agricultural culture.

While mechanization has become increasingly popular in many parts of the country, areas like Jaymangal continue to preserve traditional farming practices that have sustained communities for generations.
