Oli accuses Prachanda of spreading false rumors about his Cambodian investments

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ of spreading false rumors that he has investments worth 32 billion in Cambodia.

Speaking at the inauguration of a training program for UML Bagmati Province-level elected ward chairmen today, Oli said that Madhav Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal are behind these rumors.

“Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is spreading the rumor that I have 32 billion investments in Cambodia,” Oli stated. “Those behind him are Madhav Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal.”

Oli also criticized Madhav Nepal for his ineffective leadership during his tenure. “Madhav and Jhalanath could not run the party effectively when they were at the helm,” Oli said.

“They tried to hold on to power even after that. When we replaced the corrupt, incompetent, and dependent leadership and moved the party forward with the national aspiration of a prosperous Nepal and happy Nepalis, they became dissatisfied and began conspiring against us.”
