NC denies govt collapse rumors, calls attempts to incite instability “fishing in murky waters”

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Chief Whip Shyam Ghimire has dismissed rumors of a government collapse, stating that efforts are being made to cause instability by spreading false claims.

Speaking during a session of the House of Representatives, Ghimire emphasized that there is no truth in the allegations that nothing has changed in the past 20 years, except for the system itself.

Ghimire argued, “Data supports this claim, and not just the data – our own eyes have witnessed the before and after of the last 20 years. While our development may not be as fast as some countries, it is incorrect to say we are in a weak state.”
