Opp’n defaming govt and spreading falsehoods: PM Oli

LALITPUR: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli has accused the opposition of actively attempting to defame the government and spread lies.

Speaking at the national convention of the Progressive Engineering Association in Kupandol, Lalitpur, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli stated that the government remains focused on addressing its key issues and fulfilling its work.

“Some individuals are trying to derail the national aspiration of a ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalis’, but that is to be expected,” said Prime Minister Oli.

“The role of the legitimate, constitutional opposition should be realistic and constructive, but instead, it seems they are focused on defaming the government and others, covering up the truth, and spreading falsehoods.”

He emphasized that despite attempts to distract and divert attention away from important matters, the government remains resolute in staying focused on its objectives.
