Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign currency exchange rates for Saturday, showing notable fluctuations in several currencies.

The US dollar has decreased in value, with the buying rate fixed at Rs 137.64 and the selling rate at Rs 138.24.

Similarly, the Swiss franc, Saudi Arabian riyal, Qatari riyal, UAE dirham, Hong Kong dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, Bahraini dinar, and Omani rial have also registered a decline.

In contrast, the European euro, UK pound sterling, Australian dollar, and Canadian dollar have shown an increase in value.

According to the bank, the buying rate of the European euro is Rs 144.36 and the selling rate is Rs 144.99, while the UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 170.94 for buying and Rs 171.68 for selling. The Swiss franc’s buying rate is Rs 152.04, and the selling rate is Rs 152.70.

The Australian dollar is being traded at Rs 86.95 for buying and Rs 87.33 for selling, while the Canadian dollar’s buying rate is Rs 96.04 and selling rate is Rs 96.46. The Chinese yuan remains steady at Rs 19.08 for both buying and selling.

Other significant rates include the Kuwaiti dinar, whose buying and selling rates are Rs 446.80 and Rs 448.75 respectively, and the Omani rial, with a buying rate of Rs 357.59 and a selling rate of Rs 359.15. The Japanese yen (10 units) is valued at Rs 8.83 for buying and Rs 8.86 for selling, and 100 Indian rupees are priced at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
