Congress leaders advise Ramesh Lekhak to record statement

KATHMANDU: Leaders of the Nepali Congress have advised former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to record his statement before the Gen Z protest probe commission.

The suggestion was made during a meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee on Wednesday. Party spokesperson Ram Sharan Mahat said it would be appropriate for Lekhak to cooperate with the commission and give his statement.

The commission has decided to summon Lekhak as part of its probe into the Gen-Z movement-related incidents.

Mahat also informed that the committee meeting will resume on Thursday at 1 pm.
