KATHMANDU: Fog is expected to affect the Tarai region of the country today, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
The MFD said fog is likely to persist until midday in the Tarai areas of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces. In the remaining Tarai regions, there is a possibility of mist throughout the day.
The weather in the hilly and Himalayan regions is expected to remain mainly fair.
Tonight, fog will continue to persist in the Tarai region, while weather conditions in the hilly and Himalayan areas will remain largely fair.
The Division also noted that the country is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds.
