NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. The buying rate of one US dollar has been set at 143 rupees 15 paisa, while the selling rate stands at 143 rupees 75 paisa.

Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at 168 rupees 90 paisa and the selling rate at 169 rupees 61 paisa. The buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been set at 193 rupees 37 paisa and the selling rate at 194 rupees 18 paisa, while one Swiss franc is being bought at 181 rupees 79 paisa and sold at 182 rupees 55 paisa.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at 95 rupees 84 paisa and the selling rate at 96 rupees 24 paisa. Likewise, one Canadian dollar is being bought at 104 rupees 45 paisa and sold at 104 rupees 89 paisa, while one Singapore dollar has a buying rate of 111 rupees 40 paisa and a selling rate of 111 rupees 87 paisa.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is 9 rupees 18 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 22 paisa. The buying rate of one Chinese yuan has been fixed at 20 rupees 37 paisa and the selling rate at 20 rupees 45 paisa.

Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at 38 rupees 17 paisa and sold at 38 rupees 33 paisa, while one Qatari riyal has a buying rate of 39 rupees 27 paisa and a selling rate of 39 rupees 44 paisa.

The buying rate of one Thai baht has been set at 4 rupees 60 paisa and the selling rate at 4 rupees 62 paisa. Likewise, one UAE dirham is being bought at 38 rupees 98 paisa and sold at 39 rupees 14 paisa. The buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit stands at 35 rupees 22 paisa and the selling rate at 35 rupees 37 paisa.

Similarly, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won is 9 rupees 67 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 71 paisa. One Swedish krona is being bought at 15 rupees 60 paisa and sold at 15 rupees 67 paisa, while one Danish krone has a buying rate of 22 rupees 61 paisa and a selling rate of 22 rupees 71 paisa.

The central bank has also fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 18 rupees 41 paisa and the selling rate at 18 rupees 48 paisa. The buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar has been set at 466 rupees 26 paisa and the selling rate at 468 rupees 21 paisa.

Similarly, one Bahraini dinar is being bought at 379 rupees 65 paisa and sold at 381 rupees 24 paisa, while one Omani rial has a buying rate of 371 rupees 81 paisa and a selling rate of 373 rupees 37 paisa. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at 160 rupees, while the selling rate stands at 160 rupees 15 paisa.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. The exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
